April School Contest: Book Review
We are going to kick start April with a great literacy contest. All students in grades K-8 are encouraged to participate in this amazing opportunity. To enter the contest students will submit a book review.
Contest Outline:
All Students that submit a Book Review to Ms Guthrie by Friday May 1st will be entered in this literacy contest. Book reviews may come in many different forms such as:
* a blog entry on the Library "Blog for Contest" tab.
* a typed book report cut and pasted on the "Blog for Contest" tab.
* K-1 students may write a sentence and have parents help type their work and share it to the tab "Blog for Contest"
Contest Rules:
1. Must be completed independently by a student (gr 2-8) using his or her own original ideas. Not Copied from anywhere.
2. Must include the title of the book and authors name clearly recorded
3. Students name and grade must appear on each entry
4. Must be of suitable length based on grade and ability.
5. Students may submit up to 3 different entries into the contest.
Grand Prize Winners:
The top 5 amazing, well written entries, will win a shout out for all to see.Once school reopens they will win a new book and book mark.
Runner Up Winners:
Up to 10 students that have written a good book review will have their name drawn from the winner box and will win a cool book mark. Once school resumes each winner will choose the book mark of their liking from the choices provided.
Contest begins: Monday April 6th, 2020
Deadline for entries: Friday May 1st, 2020
